In years gone by, Sebastapol Football Club has been faced with some of the worst surface conditions in Victoria for Australian Rules Football due to a very poor draining field in wet and cold conditions. As published in The Courier newspaper ”If you had come in the gate and saw the condition the ground was in as a higher end of player, you wouldn’t risk injury or play in those conditions,” (Club President- Cameron Morgan, 8th Feb 2017).
Sebastapol Football Club, now with a benchmark training and playing facility, see their club as becoming a more attractive club for prospective players and an environment where footballing talent and game day strategy can be nurtured and developed all year round at the ‘home ground’. Marty Busch Reserve is also a public oval enjoyed by Sebastapol Community.
